Well... I'm not exactly a Photoshop master here... but I do sometimes get questions on how/what I edit, so I figured I'd make a quick post about it.
The best photos always don't need much(or any) editing. I usually only do minor adjustments to add the finishing touches to a photo, but occasionally a client will ask for more. Sometimes people just want to cover up a tattoo, acne, or a scar, and sometimes I'm asked if I can take a few pounds off or maybe add a little more in other areas.
Here is a before & after photo from one of my shoots a wile back where I removed a tattoo, and did a little more adjusting on her figure.
I'm sure many of you are wondering why I even went to the trouble to do this much editing on the photo when there was noting wrong with it to begin with! The answer to that is because she asked for it! I know self-image can be a controversial subject, and I never "mess with" the subjects natural shape/size unless it's specifically requested. If you'd like to do a shoot and want a little extra work don't be afraid to ask... because you won't get it otherwise!
Oh... and back to my comment on Photoshop. I don't own or use Photoshop! I've been using a different editing software package for the last several years that is equally as powerful after a little practice.
